Dickelback?  punched in the dick to death? Hahahaha!!

Man, I just couldn’t help going back to see if there were new comments on the Nickelback review.  These are the funniest by far.  Chen, you need to sign in and leave your cute little comment on the RS review.

The one star rating is just for the single I’ve been subjected to by my manager at work, who insists we listen to corporate, chart-based radio, instead of classic rock or alternative stations like people with souls listen to (notice Nickelback doesn’t play on those). I’m not going to waiste money on this piece-of-shit band, nor will I infect my computer with a torrent of it.

Let’s face it folks, Nickelback has been lowering the standards of the already decadent music industry for years with it’s trite lyrics, and mediocre melodies. This cheesdick operation represents everything depraved and rotten about music today, and everything Rolling Stone USED to crusade against.

Which brings me to point number two. Rolling Stone was the hippist magazine on the block in the 60s and 70s, and would have never endorced such a musical travesty with a 3 1/2 star rating.

I’m open minded musically, and generally respect music and artist I don’t listen to personally, but Dickelback is an undermining of everything true art and musical expression stands for. Don’t be a corporate whore, and don’t waist your time on this (or any nickleback) album

Here it is. Final proof that Rolling Stone is not worth listening to, under any circumstance. Really, you deserve to be punched in the dick to death for listening to this.

11/20 Nickelback

Filed under: News — Levi @ 7:40 am

Part of the reason I love Nickelback is because of all the people who piss and moan about how much they hate the band.  It’s funny as shit.  I think they rock, it’s good energetic, rock the hell out while you’re driving down the road music.  It just wails.  And sometimes you just want to rock from beggining to end without having to skip forward on a CD.  I’m not saying they’ve got amazing lyrics or can keep up with Train in the songwriting arena.  No.  I’m just saying they rock.  That’s it.

But to go out of your way and bitch about the band constantly, well, that’s funny.  People are so pationate about how much they hate Nickelback.  Whether you love them or hate them, I found a yummy little morsel of humor for you.  This is a link to the Rolling Stone online review that contains a bunch of reader reviews below it.

I’d tell my children about hell before I’d tell them about Nickelback.

Hey instead of ripping George Harrison off with the LP title “Dark Horse”. How about this one “Horse Shit” because thats what this band amounts to.

11/19 Doing nothing at all

Filed under: News — Levi @ 7:08 am

This shot was taken at about 7:30am.  You can see the Pacific Ocean in the distance.  There is another pool and a really hot hot tub between this pool and the beach.  There’s a little arial shot to get more perspective.  We were staying down the beach to the left about a 6th of a mile so we would just walk along the beach to come over here for a coffee and a lounge chair for a morning do-nothing session.

11/18 Surfing. I don’t do that.

Filed under: News — Levi @ 8:56 am

I took this picture on our last full day.  We spent a good part of the day on a several hour snorkling trip that took us about 30 minutes down the coast.  Right past Chad Smith’s house.  When we got back we took a water taxi to “Lover’s Beach”, the world famous beach with the world famous arch.  I bucked some crazy waves on the Sea of Cortez side of the beach while Angie took the safer route and bucked the towel that was lying on the sand.  When the sun went down on that side we walked over to the Pacific Ocean side of the beach where it was still very sunny.  Four local boys had hiked through a secret passage through the rocks to get to this beach without taking the water taxi.  They all had skate boards and surf boards.  This young hombre was waiting for the perfect wave for quite a while so I took a few pics.  This is one of my favorites.

11/17 Mexico, muy caliente!

Filed under: News — Levi @ 4:11 pm

Just got back from a week in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.  Angie and I are newbies when it comes to being out of the country or even vacationing for that matter.  I suppose that’s why I thought it was a life changing experience.  It’s the first week I can remember where I actually had nothing on my mind…at all.  Like nothing, man.  I didn’t even really think about where I was going to get my next cervesa.  I might post a few more pics this week.  Here’s a cute little post card sorta thing.  I took this picture from one of the boats we went out on.
